General Questions
Isn't Chilliwack a little small for a walking tour?
Chilliwack is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Our tours highlight the fascinating stories, vibrant art murals, and hidden gems that make Chilliwack a unique and engaging destination.
Who leads the tours?
Tours are led by lifetime local and passionate guide Michael Berger, who has a deep understanding of Chilliwack's history, people and creative scene.
What kinds of tours do you offer?
We offer a variety of tours including art mural tours, historical walking tours and combination tours that showcase both history and art.
Are custom or private tours available?
Yes, we offer custom tours tailored to your interests and schedule. If you prefer a private tour, we can also accommodate that. Please contact us in advance to arrange a personalized experience.
Do we need to sign anything before we join the walking tour?
Yes, participants are required to sign a waiver before joining the tour. This can be done online or in person at the meeting point.
How long are the walking tours?
Our walking tours typically last between 1–1½ hours, depending on our guests' pace.
How much walking is involved and what is the pace?
Most tours are between 400–1,500 meters and are conducted at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops. While we may stand in one spot for up to 5–6 minutes, there are limited seating options available.
I use a mobility device (scooter, wheelchair, or walker). Can I still join a walking tour?
Absolutely! We strive to make our tours accessible to everyone. Please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.
Are children allowed on the tours?
Yes, children are welcome on our tours. We recommend our tours for children aged 6 and above.
Are pets allowed on the tours?
While we love pets, some of our guests do not. Unless the tour specifically allows pets, please leave your furry friends at home. On occasion, we'll have a 'dog-friendly tour' — only on those specific tours, one dog per guest is allowed, as long as they are well-behaved and leashed with a six-foot leash. Please bring bags to clean up after your dog. You are responsible for your dog's behaviour before, during and after the tour. No other pets are allowed on any tours.
Will locals enjoy the tours as well, or is it mostly for tourists?
Locals will find our tours just as enjoyable as tourists; we offer new insights and discoveries about their hometown.
Why are the tours available at different times?
Tours are scheduled at different times to accommodate various schedules and to provide the best lighting for viewing murals and historic sites.
Do you offer tours in other languages?
Currently, our tours are conducted in English, but we are exploring options to offer tours in other languages in the future.
